About the artist
The all-rounder born in Zurich originates from a family of artists, and he had to keep himself above water as a travelling salesman for washing machines and razor blades, tap dancer and prize fighter, graphologist and Spanish teacher. Thanks to the radical social transformation in 1968 the artist’s career took off and Sadkowsky became famous for his paintings and texts. Even Francis Bacon bought three images from the artist.
The Swiss painter, drawer, performer, film maker and poet produced an extensive oeuvre. His art exhilarates and enchants, it is fantastic and poetic, also because his entire work is pervaded by metaphorical signs and connections.
